Confirm the fitted coupling
Our VAG coverage includes Haldex-equipped Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Skoda vehicles. Not every all-wheel-drive vehicle from these brands uses Haldex, so we identify the fitted system and generation before confirming the work.
Land Rover applications can include Freelander 2 and selected Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport versions. We check each vehicle's model, year and driveline individually.
Servicing for the generation
The appropriate coupling fluid and filling procedure depend on the unit. Filter or pump-strainer work also depends on the generation; the same filter service does not apply to every system.
Haldex coupling oil is a separate service item from gearbox and differential oils. We can discuss the wider drivetrain maintenance at the same time.
When there is a fault
Warnings, loss of AWD operation or unusual driveline behaviour need diagnosis. Include fault codes, service history, tyre changes and any previous pump or coupling repairs.
The findings determine the repair and any required setup. We do not assume that servicing alone will resolve a mechanical or electrical fault.
