Our specialist automatic transmissions include ZF 6HP, ZF 8HP and GM 5L40E. We check the vehicle details, service history and any existing symptoms before agreeing the work.
A conventional service drains the accessible fluid and refills the transmission. Depending on the unit and agreed job, the filter, sump, seals and fixings may also need attention. Fluid retained elsewhere in the system is why this differs from a machine-assisted exchange.
What we need from you
- Registration or VIN, model year and engine.
- Mileage and the date of the last transmission service, if known.
- Any leaks, warning messages, judder or unusual shifts.
- Previous gearbox repairs, software changes and how the vehicle is used.
