Start with the complete specification
The engine, transmission variant and receiving vehicle determine the project. Controller compatibility, wiring and communication with the rest of the vehicle need to be considered together.
An aftermarket control system is a distinct route from remapping the original vehicle’s transmission controller. We assess the suitable approach for the build.
Your conversion enquiry
- Receiving vehicle, engine and engine management system.
- Donor transmission identification and any existing modifications.
- Proposed aftermarket controller, selector and wiring information.
- Intended use and the current stage of the project.
Beyond the controller
The project discussion also needs to account for the physical installation, cooling, driveline, speed signals and engine torque coordination. The exact supported work and any parts are agreed before the project progresses.
Tell us what you already have, rather than purchasing a controller on the assumption that every engine and 8HP combination is interchangeable.
Calibration and commissioning
The control setup is developed for the chosen hardware and intended use, followed by appropriate checks. We do not advertise a universal conversion kit or a blanket compatibility list.
