Depending on support, the discussion can cover shift behaviour and strategy, engine and gearbox torque coordination, and converter operation. Available changes are confirmed for the application.
Mechanical condition comes first
Software is not a repair for a worn or faulty gearbox. Existing symptoms and relevant mechanical checks are considered before a performance calibration.
Include previous engine or transmission tuning and all hardware changes. The calibration needs to work with the actual vehicle specification.
Original vehicle or conversion?
A production vehicle’s gearbox software and an aftermarket controller for a retrofit are different enquiries. Our ZF 8HP conversion service covers the controller and integration questions for a gearbox installed in another vehicle.
